After countless hours of computer analysis and on the water testing, the UK Sailmakers team in Chicago has developed the extremely fast PS1 design. In it’s debut regatta, Southeast Regional Championships, sailors using the new PS1 UK design won 5 of the 6 races in a wide range of conditions. The sail has racked up many regatta and race wins over the years since then. You will see many top sailors in the class using this sail.

In the Fall of 2014 we began developing the PS2 design for larger sailors and lakes with bigger, steeper chop. The sail has performed very well for many sailors, placing first and second in the 2015 George Dorn regatta.

PS1

The UK PS1 sail is our all-purpose sail that has worked well in a wide range of conditions.  Sailors of all sizes have been very successful with this sail. The open leech and ease of depowering this sail make it a must for smaller sailors and flatter bodies of water. It also makes it very difficult to stall. The sail has a radial head and radial clew to using Dimension/Polyant fabric.

PS2

The UK PS2 is a ‘bigger” cut meaning it is deeper and more powerful than our PS1. The sail still maintains the open leech of our PS1 but can take more vang tension and sheet tension before flattening the sail out.  The deeper sails gives it a nice wide groove and easy to trim. The sail is a cross cut construction using Dimension/Polyant 165 square weave dacron that we have found very successful in our C-Scow sails.
